About my work

To me, painting is like a diary, where I notice and record some moments from my daily life, as well as memories from my childhood.

I paint things from my regular, normal everyday life in London. Here, I observe simple things like the combination of colors that surrounds me, shapes of clothes and lines of the bed linen or interesting angles and reflections in the mirror. It's all about observing the daily routine of my closest surrounding and a deeper understanding what is around me in everyday life.

While in other part of my work I recollect from memories of my childhood in a small Lithuanian village. I experiment with mediums and materials, which gives me so much joy and freedom, creating and expressing my-self.

These two complete opposite life styles components me as a person and have a big impact on my artwork. Living between two different worlds leads to constant research of my own personality.
