This online display presents a selection of artworks entered into the 2023 Self Portrait Prize. Displaying self-portraits by artists from all backgrounds and at different stages of their artistic careers, it demonstrates the continuation of the long established tradition of the artist as a subject for their own work. Including painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, photography, video and mixed media artworks, it reveals the diversity and ingenuity apparent amongst contemporary practices.

Our 2023 Woolwich Open Studios will take place on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th June between 12-6pm.

Thames-Side Studios operate the UK's largest site of artist and maker spaces. With over 550 studios we are home to an impressive array of artists, makers and designers. This is a unique opportunity to meet them, talk about what they do, and to buy directly from their studios.

A TWO WEEK BUZZING LINE UP OF 80+ FIXED PRICE ARTWORKS

On Saturday 9th April over 500 original unique artworks will be available to buy through our website BlueShopCottage.com/shop. The artworks have been selected from our open call of over 10,000 submissions and the works are by some of the most exciting emerging and mid career artists.

All works are shipped directly to you at home and to collectors all over the world. All artworks come with a handwritten personal note from the artist and a signed certificate of authenticity along with a few care instructions from us. All works come unframed but for London based collectors we also have a bespoke framing service available.

We believe it is imperative to mobilize the international community to get involved in relief programs for Ukrainian refugee and frontline communities alike. The ART FOR UKRAINE Charity Art Auction is our way of making that happen.

This dynamic and innovative opportunity provides ten artists from across the world a communal studio space for four weeks, culminating in a group exhibition featuring works exclusively created on the premises.

This is a place where artists have a chance to learn from each other, disrupting their routine, change context, reflect comparatively, as well as garner feedback and support from both colleagues and visitors all within a nurturing professional space.

ACC is a diverse collective of mutually supporting artists, both emerging and established. It is a way of harnessing the sense of community and artist empowerment that has come out of lockdown; A collective voice to raise awareness and funds for charities by holding auctions throughout the year.

As we finally emerge out of winter and into spring, the world seems to be coming alive again. Not only is nature feeling this re-birth, but artists from all over the world are contemplating what it means to create art in today’s shifting landscape and have been challenged to discover new ways of presenting their ideas to new audiences. This exhibition aims to show that art still has the ability to cross borders, boundaries and lockdowns – regardless of location, race, nationality, age, gender or professional career level. The London Paint Club Open Call welcomes all applicants and we are thrilled to announce this diverse group of artists from around the globe.

London Paint Club was created during the global pandemic in March 2020, and saw the potential and necessity of social media to spread art, ideas and inspiration around the world. Through our exhibition guide, we are able to give more exposure to young galleries as well as global art institutions – bringing the attention of larger audiences to more localized gallery spaces in London.

Art on a Postcard celebrates International Women’s Day with its second annual all-female Auction.
Dreweatts is delighted to be to be working with Art on a Postcard once again, helping raise invaluable funds for The Hepatitis C Trust and hosting the Art on a Postcard International Women's Day Auction, for which Art on a Postcard has invited female identifying artists to respond to an initiative called 'I AM' created by The Hepatitis C Trust Prison Peer Educator, Jane Shea.

252 years ago, a group of artists made it their mission to form an annual exhibition to support artists and architects, by showcasing art of the moment to the nation. The Summer Exhibition has run uninterrupted ever since: a backdrop to famous artistic rivalries of the past and now a fixture of the summer calendar for art seekers, year after year.

Coordinated by artistic duo Jane and Louise Wilson RA, this autumn is set to be just as uplifting – you are sure to see art you love, art you hate, and art that puts a smile on your face. You might even find art to take home.

This year’s exhibition includes new works by Tracey Emin, Rebecca Horn, Anselm Kiefer, Julian Schnabel, Gillian Wearing and Ai Weiwei.

The Sunny Art Prize has established itself as one of the UK’s most prestigious international art competitions. The scope of this contemporary art prize is about sourcing the most talented artists from all over the world, both established and emerging ones, who produce ground-breaking and innovative artworks. We select artists who work with a wide range of media, making the art prize a varied and stimulating global platform to engage with critical contemporary issues and topics. The art competition is then open to everyone, regardless of location or preferred medium and theme.

Many artists are self-employed, Covid-19 pandemic has made these talents unable to work, there is not enough help for them in this difficult time, something has to be done. As an art charity in the UK, no barking aRt aims to support independent artists worldwide through this pandemic period.

We are looking for work that responds to the theme of each room, not necessarily on the impact of lockdown (but it could be) our interest is the room itself and what work connects with that, in a conceptual or representational way.

We hold annual Open Studios that take place over a weekend from 12-6pm. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

This year our Open Studios weekend takes place on Saturday 15 - Sunday 16 June 2019, 12-6pm.

The New English Art Club is a group of over 80 contemporary professional painters whose core ethos and cohesion lies in its championing of works born of observation, which is held to be a foundation that allows for a process of painting and drawing not necessarily either ‘naturalistic’ or ‘realistic’ in form. 

The Open Exhibition is an open to all visual art competition. It offers artists the opportunity to exhibit as part of a professionally curated and public-facing show, taking place over all three gallery spaces of Vivacity’s Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery. The Royal Institute of Oil Painters Annual Exhibition has a well-earned reputation for attracting highly exciting young exhibitors, alongside the much admired, more established member artists. This year the trend will continue, with new artists and new discoveries waiting to be made.

Spanning painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, installation and video, the selected works will be shown at the historic Bishop’s Palace & Gardens in Wells, Somerset, from 6 - 21 October 2018, and prizes - which include cash, exhibition and professional development prizes - will be presented at a private ceremony on Friday 12 October 2018.

Wells Art Contemporary, a leading open exhibition for international contemporary art, is proud to announce the artists selected for the 2018 exhibition. Following an international open call, 123 works by 118 artists were selected from a total of 1,397 submissions from 26 different countries, the highest number of entries in the history of the Awards.

The Society of Women Artists will be showcasing a diverse selection of 2D and 3D works by some of the most inspiring and renowned female artists from the United Kingdom and abroad.
