This extra-large painting is composed of three handmade shaped canvases and marks one of Diana Savostaite’s earliest explorations of shaped painting. The work reflects the transition between day and night, capturing shifts in light, colour and atmosphere through broad, gestural brushwork across the three panels. Inspired by daily walks in a local park, the painting draws on observations of trees, shadows and changing light conditions, exploring how light shapes mood and perception over time.
This artwork was exhibited at The Scalpel building in London, currated project by Mall Galleries.
